Journal: Father's Day
Father's Day was lazy and lovely. We're not huge expensive gift people. Though, that doesn't hurt at all. But we love to treat other in our own ways. I for one love the element of surprise and the memories made that carry sentimental value. I'm a sap, what can I say? You know, those moments you look back on that make you laugh till you cry and give you all the nostalgia. We did breakfast in bed (kind of...it worked out till it wasn't comfortable anymore to eat with a baby who's just figured out how to roll over) and then we spent the day relaxing at home.
Dad's don't get enough love on father's day, am I right? I wanted to do something for my husband that I knew he needed. Rest, food, lots of lovin' and a bit of alone time (and yes, some gift giving).
He's such a great father and husband and has taken to those roles so naturally and willingly. I feel blessed that we get to be on the same team. But you guys already know that!
Hope Father's Day was just as special for you all amazing dads and supermoms out there. I'd love to know how it went!
