Mama + Me: Zoo Trip
As Ava gets older, I've been putting together a wishlist of places that we can visit together during the day. On Sunday, we dropped of our husband (ha!) at the airport and headed over to the Zoo for a little mother daughter adventure. Maybe it's the new mom in me and my lack of motherhood wizzzzdom, but it was a mixed experience.
For one it was WAY too hot! TIP: Protect yours and baby's skin from the sun. I use this for myself (great for girls who have sensitive skin or acne etc) and this (no parabens, fragrances and non allergenic) for Ava. We stocked up on water and juice, and I nearly stripped her down to her diapers because that sun was not letting up. Because it was a spur of the moment thing, I also didn't pack any snacks for myself so after walking around in the sweltering heat for what seemed like hours I was so so hungry and ended up spending a fortune on drinks and food. TIP: Pack a bag of drinks and food!
All in all, it was a fun trip for us both. Like I mentioned on Instagram I was all wrapped up in the moment. It is such a blessing to get to record these moments with her as she grows. She on the other hand just enjoyed being wheeled everywhere in her stroller. I finally inserted her big girl seat into her stroller. So goodbye car seat, hello front facing stroller. She loved being able to see everything and everyone this way.
I hope you enjoy our pictures from our impromptu trip this weekend. I'm looking forward to doing more of this when hubby gets back. I'm looking to make a list of kid/ baby friendly things to do that parents can enjoy too in the future in the Atlanta (and surrounding) area. I realized (the hard way) that brunch and dinners at our fave restaurants aren't as appealing to the little one as she gets older. Anyone have some tips and or ideas? I would love to know.
As always, lots of love!
